Hameeda Lakho (Pakistan), is an author and expert on domestic violence and child abuse. Since 2008, she has led her own agency and founded the Academy for Recovery and Experiential Expertise. She advises the government, municipalities, and organizations on policy development and client perspectives in care and safety sectors. As a recovery coach, she supports and guides victims. Her autobiographical books, including Verborgen Tralies and Zie je mij, highlight child abuse and domestic violence, with over 250,000 copies sold in the Netherlands and international translations. Her work transcends personal experience, carrying societal significance. In 2009, she was knighted in the Order of Orange-Nassau. Her mission is to break the taboo on child abuse and domestic violence permanently.
