Vaughan Astwood is a social worker and youth professional from Curaçao who currently works in Bonaire. After studying Social Work in the Netherlands, he gained experience within child protection services and domestic violence prevention programs, including his work with Child Protection Brabant. He later moved to Bonaire, where he continues to support vulnerable children and families and serves as interim team leader at Guiami, the advice center for the Protection Code. Driven by personal experience, Vaughan has become a passionate advocate for violence prevention. Having grown up in a home affected by domestic violence, he now uses both his professional expertise and lived experience to raise awareness, inspire change, and support those affected by abuse.
