Jeanne Henriquez
Jeanne Henriquez (1946) is an educator, historian, and women’s rights activist. She earned a master’s degree in the Netherlands and a second in Women’s Studies at George Washington University, where she trained in rape response and HIV/AIDS education.
After returning to Curaçao in 1990, she became director of SEDA, publishing articles and organizing workshops on women’s rights. In 2002, she published Kòrsou su Muhénan Pionero.
She represented CAFRA and later became its vice president, served on RSMLAC’s board, and co-founded DEDIMA and Fundashon Aliansa. She also serves on Fundashon Bos di Hubentut and advances Curaçao’s historical awareness.
