Karima Lopes (Cape Verde), was a victim of sexual abuse from the age of seven and later endured domestic violence from 16 to 27, suffering physical, verbal, mental, and sexual abuse.

After being diagnosed with PTSD and depression, she finally sought help to escape the toxic relationship. Now, as the founder of Bureau Sterk na Geweld, Karima dedicates her life to educating and supporting women who have experienced or are experiencing abuse, using her story to inspire strength, healing, and empowerment.
