She is both a professional and an expert by experience, having survived severe trauma caused by abuse, displacement, discrimination, and human trafficking. Her mission is to connect practice, science, and lived experience and share this knowledge widely.

She works as a family therapist, supervisor, and trainer using evidence-based methods. At Levvel, she focuses on trauma, attachment, and out-of-home placements and advises on complex family systems, youth care reform, and international academic projects.
